SINGA launches “Experts Without Borders”: A European Platform to Amplify the Voices of Exiled Experts

On June 20, 2025, in honor of World Refugee Day, SINGA is launching “Experts Without Borders”, a groundbreaking European platform that highlights the expertise of more than 70 exiled professionals. These individuals are actively engaged across diverse fields including inclusion, education, entrepreneurship, climate, culture, and economics. The goal: to amplify their voices in the media and public discourse, and shift the narrative by giving the mic to those who have lived through exile.

A Striking Absence in Public Debate

Despite migration being at the center of public discussions, those directly affected remain largely absent from TV debates, conferences, and expert panels.

“People who have experienced exile are not just the subjects of sensationalist reporting — they are also sources, experts, and key players in the major transformations we are facing: the ecological transition, digital revolution, demographic shift, and more.” — Benoît Hamon, CEO of SINGA Global

With this initiative, SINGA aims to change both the narratives and the narrators. The 70+ experts from the SINGA community — entrepreneurs, artists, activists, grassroots leaders — offer invaluable insights into the most pressing issues of our time.

A Tool for Journalists, Event Programmers, and Decision-Makers

The Experts Without Borders page is designed as a go-to resource for journalists, editors, event organizers, and decision-makers looking to diversify their pool of speakers.

The platform targets major international events, trade fairs, thematic forums, expert panels, and corporate events alike.

A European Vision, Global Voices

The featured experts come from over 20 countries around the world and are now based across Europe (France, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Spain…). Among them:

  • Nadia Al Soleman, a Syrian entrepreneur committed to supporting non-French-speaking families, founder of AREA and President of SINGA Nantes.
  • Karam Hassan, a former Sudanese journalist, now a women’s empowerment advocate in a major company and founder of La Voix des Réfugiés.
  • Cécile Amiah, founder of a company that facilitates recruitment processes for immigrant talent, inspired by her own exile journey.
  • Ghaees Alshorbajy, a recycling entrepreneur and leading expert on Syrian affairs.

Each profile is accompanied by a detailed portrait and can be contacted through the platform for interviews, collaborations, and speaking opportunities.

A Collaborative Tool, and Tomorrow’s Go-To Directory

With Experts Without Borders, SINGA furthers its mission to shift perspectives on migration by showcasing a rich diversity of stories, faces, and voices. The long-term ambition is to evolve into a collaborative directory open to other aligned networks.

To ensure the quality and continuity of engagements, SINGA plans to offer tailored support to listed experts — including media training, public speaking preparation, and personalized coaching.

“Bringing exiled voices into public debate means broadening perspectives, enriching solutions, and addressing inclusion more effectively. This initiative lets me speak in my own name, and share what we’re not used to hearing. Our migration stories are stories of resilience. They deserve to be visible.” — Nadia Al Soleman, expert in education and inclusion

An Invitation to Speak With — Not About — Migration

SINGA powerfully reminds us that we can no longer talk about migration without those who live it. With this platform, it invites the entire ecosystem to engage in dialogue with the people behind the journeys.
