SINGA Bordeaux and its partners launch NA CREATIVES to support women in the cultural sector

Developed by Le LABA, MEWEM France, and SINGA Bordeaux, the NA CREATIVES programme offers a global support combining mentoring, wellbeing, and entrepreneurship to empower women working in the cultural sector in Nouvelle-Aquitaine.

At SINGA Bordeaux, one conviction shapes every project developed with local partners: social innovation often emerges from encounters, shared experiences, and the building of supportive communities.

It is out of this dynamic that NA CREATIVES was born, a programme led by Le LABA, in partnership with MEWEM France and SINGA Bordeaux, designed for women working in the cultural and creative industries in Nouvelle-Aquitaine.

Conceived as a space for support and networking, the programme is aimed at women looking to launch, structure, or develop an artistic, cultural, or entrepreneurial project, in sectors still marked by inequality, precarity, and isolation.

A global approach to entrepreneurship

NA CREATIVES champions a broader vision of cultural entrepreneurship. Beyond building technical or economic skills, the programme seeks to create the conditions in which participants can grow in confidence, autonomy, and stability throughout their professional experiences.

The programme combines:

  • one-to-one mentoring sessions;
  • group workshops and peer exchanges;
  • support focused on both personal and professional development.

Three essential dimensions structure the pathway:

  • mental health: building self-confidence, stress managing, and a healthy work-life balance;
  • physical health: promoting wellbeing and embodied practices;
  • social health: building and expanding networks of mutual support among participants to fight isolation.

This approach frames cultural entrepreneurship as both a tool for empowerment and an economic endeavour.

Learning resources accessible to all

  • To extend the programme’s impact, NA CREATIVES has also developed a range of online learning resources.A series of thematic podcasts highlights experiences of women entrepreneurs navigating different realities within the cultural sector:
    • entrepreneurship while living with illness;
    • entrepreneurship after 50;
    • working in a male-dominated sector;
    • building a project despite geographical isolation.

    These testimonies, drawn from interviews conducted by Véronique Lamare, bring visibility to journeys that remain underrepresented in mainstream narratives about cultural entrepreneurship.

    The programme also offers:

    • practical sheets to go deeper into the themes explored;
    • a micro-certification to recognise the skills and reflections developed throughout the programme.

Building solidarity networks in the cultural sector

Beyond tools and content, NA CREATIVES carries a deeply collective and inclusive vision of entrepreneurship.

In sectors often shaped by economic fragility and the solitude of individual journeys, the programme seeks to create spaces where participants can connect, share experiences, build collaborations, and strengthen their professional networks.

Through NA CREATIVES, the message is clear: building something in the cultural sector should never mean doing it alone.
